Tier 3 Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled SOC analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring, detecting and responding to security threats in our clients’ environments. This individual will possess a strong understanding of security event monitoring, incident response procedures, and threat analysis techniques.

Responsibilities and Skills:

• Develop and direct secure architecture techniques; answering technical and procedural questions from team members; recommending improved processes; mentoring team members.
• Influence the system requirements and design processes to incorporate the identification of cyber requirements early in these processes.
• Suggest architecture solutions to these systems that support both the functional requirements of the systems and the cyber security requirements.
• Design and present comprehensive security solutions and architectures that align with clients’ business objectives, addressing their unique security concerns and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify new business opportunities, leveraging your technical expertise to influence clients and provide valuable insights during the sales process.
• Conduct in-depth technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to showcase the capabilities and value proposition of our security solutions.
• Providing cyber engineering expertise to determine security requirements by evaluating best practices; researching security standards/tools; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; identify integration issues.
• Identifying poor cyber designs in systems and offering alternative designs.
• Build and maintain cyber security system components (install/patch, configure, implement, operate, and sustain) control-based solutions in product team environments.
• Develop and maintain procedures used to validate product function and performance after applying security related patches and updates.
• Prepares, maintains, and updates the system security plan.
• Assists in creation of the initial security control baseline, identifying common and hybrid controls, applying overlays, and tailoring.
• Configuration scanning to validate system configuration.
• Preparation, maintenance, and updating of security control policies and procedures and assists in creation of select policies and procedures, as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, Systems, Electrical, Information Technology Engineering or related technical
• 5+ years of related experience

Required Cybersecurity certifications:

• CISM, CISA, CASP+, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, GIAC security essentials certification.

Desired Cybersecurity Certifications:

CISSP, OSCP, GSEC, OffSec – Defense Analyst (OSDA),Certified Defensive Security Analyst (CDSA, Practical SOC Analyst Associate (PSAA), Certifed Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA)
